Background: The Clinical Frailty Scale (CFS) is a tool to assess the overall health of older adults. There are few reports of CFS and prognosis of ankle fracture. The objective of this study was to determine the predictive power of the CFS for adverse clinical and radiographic outcomes after surgery in elderly patients with trimalleolar fractures.

Association between the atherogenic index of plasma and long-term risk of type 2 diabetes: a 12-year cohort study based on the Japanese population.

Background: Atherosclerotic dyslipidemia is associated with an increased risk of type 2 diabetes (T2D). Although previous studies have demonstrated an association between the atherogenic index of plasma (AIP) and insulin resistance, there remains a scarcity of large cohort studies investigating the association between AIP and the long-term risk of T2D in the general population. This study aims to investigate the potential association between AIP and the long-term risk of T2D in individuals with normal fasting plasma glucose levels.

Designing asymmetrical structures is an effective strategy to optimize metallic catalysts for electrochemical carbon dioxide reduction reactions. Herein, we demonstrate a transient pulsed discharge method for instantaneously constructing graphene-aerogel supports asymmetric copper nanocluster catalysts. This process induces the convergence of copper atoms decomposed by copper chloride onto graphene originating from the intense current pulse and high temperature.

Extended intrauterine balloon stent use to prevent adhesion reformation after hysteroscopic adhesiolysis: A randomized trial.

Objective: To evaluate the efficacy and safety of retaining a balloon stent in the uterus for 8 weeks to prevent adhesion reformation after hysteroscopic adhesiolysis.

Design: A single-center randomized controlled study.

Subjects: A total of 160 women with severe intrauterine adhesions (American Fertility Society [AFS] intrauterine adhesion scores ≥9, and European Society for Gynaecological Endoscopy Grade ≥IV).
