In the post-pandemic era, research on respiratory diseases should refocus on pathogens other than the severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2). Respiratory pathogens, highly infectious to children, with to different modes of infection, such as single-pathogen infections and co-infections. Understanding the seasonal patterns of these pathogens, alongside identifying single infections and co-infections and their impact on the pediatric immune status, is crucial for clinical diagnosis, treatment, and prognosis in children.

Methods: Thirty C57BL/6 mice were randomly divided into blank control group, model group, low- and high-dose LXJDHYF groups, and H151 (a specific cGAS-STING pathway inhibitor) group (6). In all but the control group, the mice were treated with CCl to induce liver cirrhosis followed by intraperitoneal injections of lipopolysaccharide and D-amino galactose to establish mouse models of ACLF.

Two-dimensional van der Waals (vdW) layered materials not only are an intriguing fundamental scientific research platform but also provide various applications to multifunctional quantum devices in the field-effect transistors (FET) thanks to their excellent physical properties. However, a metal-semiconductor (MS) interface with a large Schottky barrier causes serious problems for unleashing their intrinsic potentials toward the advancements in high-performance devices. Here, we show that exfoliated vdW Dirac semimetallic PtTe can be an excellent electrode for electrons in MoS FETs.

Methods: We established the rational evaluation criteria based on drug instructions and relevant guidelines to retrospectively evaluate the use of CAZ-AVI to treat CRKP infections from June 2020 to June 2023 in a tertiary hospital in China. Patients were divided into the rational use group and irrational use group.
Background: Fatal familial insomnia (FFI) is a rare autosomal dominant inherited disease and a type of prion diseases. We report a case of fatal familial insomnia (FFI) in a 52-year-old man who was initially misdiagnosed as Alzheimer's disease.
Case Presentation: The patient presented with persistent insomnia as the initial symptom, accompanied by cognitive impairment, autonomic dysfunction, and disorders of voluntary movement.
