Visual question generation involves the generation of meaningful questions about an image. Although we have made significant progress in automatically generating a single high-quality question related to an image, existing methods often ignore the diversity and interpretability of generated questions, which are important for various daily tasks that require clear question sources. In this paper, we propose an explicitly diverse visual question generation model that aims to generate diverse questions based on interpretable question sources.

Background And Aims: Glucagon-like peptide-1 (GLP-1) and fibroblast growth factor 21 (FGF21) are key regulators of glucose and lipid metabolism. In the present study, we assessed the safety and efficacy of a novel GLP-1/FGF21 dual agonist HEC88473 for the treatment of metabolic dysfunction-associated steatotic liver disease (MASLD) combined with type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM).

Methods: This was a randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled, multiple-ascending-dose phase 1b/2a trial.

Microplastic pollution has become a significant environmental issue. One of the most important sources and components of microplastics is polyester fabric - polyethylene terephthalate (PET). Because the catalytic depolymerization of PET typically requires specific conditions such as alkaline environments, specific solvents, or high temperatures, there is an urgent need for a simpler, eco-friendly solution with high degradation efficiency for managing the vast amounts of PET textile waste.

Background: Selenium can inhibit cervical cancers, but the specific mechanism of anti-cervical cancer is not fully understood.

Methods: In this study, we investigated the anti-cervical cancer effect of sodium selenite (SS) in vivo and in vitro to reveal the role of the phosphatidylinositol 3-kinase/protein kinase B (PI3K/AKT) signaling pathway in terms of the mechanism. In vivo experiments, HeLa cell xenografts were constructed in BALB/c female nude mice, and then intraperitoneally injected with 3 mg/kg sodium selenite (SS) for 14 days.
