Porcine circovirus type 3 (PCV3) is an emerging pathogen that causes porcine dermatitis, and reproductive failure. PCV3 Cap interacts with DExD/H-box helicase 36 (DHX36), a protein that functions primarily through regulating interferon (IFN)-β production. However, how the interaction between DHX36 and PCV3 Cap regulates viral replication remains unknown.

Unlabelled: Metabolic dysfunction associated steatotic liver disease (MASLD) has been associated with increased risks of all-cause and cardiovascular disease (CVD) mortality. Identification of modifiable risk factors that may contribute to higher risks of mortality could facilitate targeted and intensive intervention strategies in this population. This study aims to examine whether the magnesium depletion score (MDS) is associated with all-cause and CVD mortality among individuals with MASLD or metabolic and alcohol associated liver disease (MetALD).

Angio-based microvascular resistance (AMR) as a potential alternative to the index of microcirculatory resistance (IMR) and its relationship with microvascular obstruction (MVO) and other cardiac magnetic resonance (CMR) parameters still lacks comprehensive validation. This study aimed to validate the correlation between AMR and CMR-derived parameters and to construct an interpretable machine learning (ML) model, incorporating AMR and clinical data, to forecast MVO in ST-segment elevation myocardial infarction (STEMI) patients undergoing primary percutaneous coronary intervention (PPCI). We enrolled 452 STEMI patients from Nanjing Drum Tower Hospital between 2018 and 2022, who received both PPCI and CMR.

N-(1,3-dimethylbutyl)-N'-phenyl-p-phenylenediamine quinone (6PPDQ) and its parent 6PPD are ubiquitous in the environment and may induce multi-endpoint toxicity. Electronic waste (e-waste) dismantling is an under-recognized source of 6PPD and 6PPDQ emissions, and there is a lack of epidemiological investigations into their presence and health effects in local populations. This study aimed to determine the urinary concentrations of 6PPD and 6PPDQ in children aged 2-7 years from e-waste dismantling areas and evaluate their potential risk to physical growth.

The Notch intracellular domain (NICD) regulates gene expression during development and homeostasis in a transcription factor complex that binds DNA either as monomer, or cooperatively as dimers. Mice expressing Notch dimerization-deficient (NDD) alleles of Notch1 and Notch2 have defects in multiple tissues that are sensitized to environmental insults. Here, we report that cardiac phenotypes and DSS (Dextran Sodium Sulfate) sensitivity in NDD mice can be ameliorated by housing mice under hypo-allergenic conditions (food/bedding).
