Background: Genetic variants in GRN, the gene encoding progranulin, are causal for or are associated with the risk of multiple neurodegenerative diseases. Modulating progranulin has been considered as a therapeutic strategy for neurodegenerative diseases including Frontotemporal Dementia (FTD) and Alzheimer's Disease (AD). Here, we integrated genetics with proteomic data to determine the causal human evidence for the therapeutic benefit of modulating progranulin in AD.

However, the problems of nondynamic tuning and fluorescence quenching of metal plasmon resonance need to be solved. Graphene surface plasmon resonance can be dynamically controlled, and the graphene adsorption of fluorescent molecules can avoid fluorescence quenching and greatly improve the fluorescence emission intensity.

However, achieving spatiotemporally controlled co-delivery to target cells remains a significant challenge. Herein, we propose an innovative strategy for the intracellular co-delivery of carbon monoxide (CO) and nitric oxide (NO) gasotransmitters under clinically relevant wavelengths.

Therefore, developing new and more effective therapeutic strategies is crucial. This study aims to establish pH-responsive silk fibroin (SF) nanoparticles encapsulating β-hydroxyisovalerylshikonin (SF@β-HIVS) to enhance the therapeutic effects against pancreatic cancer.

Case Summary: Here, we describe a case of a 66-year-old woman who presented with recurrent abdominal pain and was eventually diagnosed with AL amyloidosis with colon involvement and pulmonary adenocarcinoma.
