Objective: To evaluate the feasibility and effect of nurse-led cognitive-motor dual-task training based on mobile health technology in people with cognitive frailty and investigate its potential for transforming practice in this population.

Methods: From September 2021 to May 2022, a total of 74 older adults with cognitive frailty were screened at a Cognitive Memory Clinic of a tertiary hospital in Beijing. The control and intervention groups received health education related to cognitive frailty; additionally the intervention group received cognitive-motor dual-task training based on mobile health technology at home for 12 weeks, three times a week.

Background: Recent studies have implicated a role for perioperative medications in determining patient outcomes after surgery for malignant tumours, including relapse and metastasis.

Methods: A combined approach spanned molecular, cellular, and organismal levels, including bioinformatics, immunohistochemical staining of clinical and animal samples, RNA sequencing of glioblastoma multiforme (GBM) cells with Ingenuity Pathway Analysis, lentiviral-mediated gene expression modulation, in vitro cell experiments, and in vivo orthotopic tumour transplantation.

Results: We observed a significant correlation between increased kappa opioid receptor (KOP receptor) expression and better prognosis in patients with glioma.

Background/aim: Chemotherapy based on 5-fluorouracil (5-Fu) is the first-line treatment for advanced gastric cancer (GC) patients. Importantly, 5-Fu resistance is recognized as a major obstacle for the successful treatment of GC. Circular RNAs (circRNAs) are non-coding RNAs involved in the pathogenesis of GC.

Introduction: Xanthine oxidase (XO) catalyzes the oxidation of both hypoxanthine and xanthine in the last two steps of the purine metabolic pathway, serving as a rate-limiting enzyme for uric acid production as well as a key target for the treatment of gout and other hyperuricemia-related conditions.

Areas Covered: This paper reviews XO inhibitors in patents from 2021 to the present. We summarize in detail the structural classes and characteristics, in vitro and in vivo biological results, and structure‒activity relationships of synthetic inhibitors, as well as the sources, specific structures, research methods, and biological activities of XO inhibitors from natural products.

This study investigated the effects of varying concentrations of peanut shell flavonoids (PSFs) on the properties of peanut meal extract-tilapia skin protein composite films and their impact on cherry tomatoes preservation. Peanut meal alcohol extract (Pe) and tilapia skin protein (Co) were used as base materials, combined with PSFs to prepare composite films with excellent antioxidant properties. The results demonstrated that the optimized composite films exhibited superior mechanical properties, with a tensile strength of 9.
