Measurement of Λ_{b}^{0}, Λ_{c}^{+}, and Λ Decay Parameters Using Λ_{b}^{0}→Λ_{c}^{+}h^{-} Decays.

A comprehensive study of the angular distributions in the bottom-baryon decays Λ_{b}^{0}→Λ_{c}^{+}h^{-}(h=π,K), followed by Λ_{c}^{+}→Λh^{+} with Λ→pπ^{-} or Λ_{c}^{+}→pK_{S}^{0} decays, is performed using a data sample of proton-proton collisions corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 9  fb^{-1} collected by the LHCb experiment at center-of-mass energies of 7, 8, and 13 TeV. The decay parameters and the associated charge-parity (CP) asymmetries are measured, with no significant CP violation observed. For the first time, the Λ_{b}^{0}→Λ_{c}^{+}h^{-} decay parameters are measured.

Prevalence of colonoscopy-related adverse events in older adults aged over 65 years: a systematic review and meta-analysis.

Background: This study aims to assess the occurrence of colonoscopy-related adverse events (AEs) in adults aged over 65 years, as there has been a significant increase in the prevalence of colonoscopies among the elderly compared to two decades ago.

Methods: A comprehensive search was conducted on June 3rd, 2024, using the PubMed, Embase, and Cochrane Library databases. Meta-analyses were performed using the generalized linear mixed model, and the results were presented as pooled rates with relevant 95% confidence intervals (CIs).

Machine learning-driven thermal management and output behavior prediction for a multi-segment bonded Tm:YAG laser.

This paper addresses the thermal instability of lasers resulting from the thermal effects of the 2 µm gain medium, proposing what we believe to be a novel compensation scheme that integrates machine learning technology with multi-segment bonded Tm: YAG crystals and negative lenses, based on the thermal focal length model of a thick thermal lens. This approach significantly optimizes thermal compensation and facilitates rapid assessment of the light-emitting behavior trends of Tm: YAG lasers. Firstly, the thermal behavior of conventional and multi-segment bonded Tm: YAG crystals is analyzed.

Effects of emotions on IVF/ICSI outcomes in infertile women: a systematic review and meta-analysis.

To assess whether infertile women's psychological conditions, such as depression, anxiety, and stress, are associated with in vitro fertilization (IVF) and intracytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI) outcomes, we systematically searched for relevant articles from January 1, 2004, to March 29, 2024, in five databases, including PubMed, Web of Science, EMBASE, Cochrane Library, and PsycINFO. A random-effects model was used to examine pooled standardized mean differences (SMD) and 95% confidence interval (CI). A total of 29 articles fulfilled the inclusion criteria and were included in this meta-analysis.

Associations between common genetic variants and income provide insights about the socio-economic health gradient.

We conducted a genome-wide association study on income among individuals of European descent (N = 668,288) to investigate the relationship between socio-economic status and health disparities. We identified 162 genomic loci associated with a common genetic factor underlying various income measures, all with small effect sizes (the Income Factor). Our polygenic index captures 1-5% of income variance, with only one fourth due to direct genetic effects.
