Analysis of feasibility, effectiveness and safety of transvaginal natural orifice transluminal endoscopic surgery(vNOTES) of ectopic pregnancy: a retrospective study.

Background: vNOTES has been documented as a viable approach for conducting benign gynecologic surgery; however, its application in ectopic pregnancy cases remains relatively scarce. The principal objective of this investigation was to assess the practicability, effectiveness, and safety of vNOTES in surgical procedures related to ectopic pregnancy.

Methods: Clinical data pertaining to patients diagnosed with ectopic pregnancy at Beijing Hospital between January 2018 and August 2023 were retrospectively collected (This study retrospectively registered with the China Clinical Trial Registry with the registration number ChiCTR2100052223 in September 22, 2021.

Alterations in fecal bacteriome virome interplay and microbiota-derived dysfunction in patients with schizophrenia.

Rising studies have consistently reported gut bacteriome alterations in schizophrenia (SCZ). However, little is known about the role of the gut virome on shaping the gut bacteriome in SCZ. Here in, we sequenced the fecal virome, bacteriome, and host peripheral metabolome in 49 SCZ patients and 49 health controls (HCs).

Characteristics and multi-omics analysis of spontaneous spondyloarthritis in non-human primates: Case report.

Spondyloarthritis is a prevalent and persistent condition that significantly impacts the quality of life. Its intricate pathological mechanisms have led to a scarcity of animal models capable of replicating the disease progression in humans, making it a prominent area of research interest in the field. To delve into the pathological and physiological traits of spontaneous non-human primate spondyloarthritis, this study meticulously examined the disease features of this natural disease model through an array of techniques including X-ray imaging, MRI imaging, blood biochemistry, markers of bone metabolism, transcriptomics, proteomics, and metabolomics.

Comparative efficacy of different drugs in acute heart failure with renal dysfunction: a systematic review and network meta-analysis.

Objective: This network meta-analysis was to compare the efficacy of different drugs on cardiac function, renal function, and clinical outcomes in patients with acute heart failure (AHF) accompanied by renal dysfunction.

Methods: PubMed, EMBASE, Cochrane Library, and Web of Science were searched to screen all clinical trials of AHF between January 1st 2001 and March 31th 2024. The primary outcome measures were N-terminal pro-B type natriuretic peptide (NT-proBNP), B-type natriuretic peptide (BNP), glomerular filtration rate (GFR), blood urea nitrogen, serum creatinine, all-cause mortality within 60 days, and cardiovascular mortality.

Introduction: Extrachromosomal circular DNA (eccDNA) plays significant roles in cancer progression and prognosis. However, it remains unclear whether cell-free eccDNA, considered more stable than linear DNA, possesses cancer-specific genomic features. Furthermore, the biogenesis and function of eccDNAs are not yet fully understood.
