Osteoarthritis (OA) affects several joints but tends to be more prevalent in those that are weight-bearing, such as the knees, which are the most heavily loaded joints in the body. The incidence and disability rates of OA have continued to increase and seriously jeopardise the quality of life of middle-aged and older adults. However, OA is more than just a wear and tear disease; its aetiology is complex, and its pathogenesis is poorly understood.

The hypotension lasted for at least three days, requiring dopamine support, while hypoxia persisted for over a week. The prolonged nature of these symptoms posed a diagnostic challenge.

Ketone catalysts have garnered considerable attention in the realm of asymmetric photoreactions because of their highly controllable structures, ease of availability, and environmental friendliness. This review highlights the application of various reported ketone catalysts in a range of asymmetric photoreactions, including [2 + 2] photocycloaddition, photoderacemization, photochemical rearrangement, asymmetric electrophilic amination, and asymmetric alkylation of aldehydes.

In this study, titanium dioxide-europium coatings (MAO/Eu) were prepared on the surface of a titanium alloy (Ti-6Al-4V) a one-step process combining microarc oxidation (MAO) and doping. The incorporation of Eu significantly improved the hydrophilic and mechanical properties of the TiO coatings without altering their morphology.
