Background: Perioperative strokes may promote postoperative neurocognitive dysfunction. We thus evaluated the incidence of postoperative strokes and the association between strokes and postoperative neurocognitive outcomes in older patients recovering from non-cardiac surgery.

Methods: PRECISION was a two-center prospective cohort study.

However, the use of 1,1,2,2-tetrasubstituted DACs to form products bearing quaternary stereocenters remains a long-term unsolved challenge. Here, we report the copper-catalyzed asymmetric aminative ring opening of tetrasubstituted alkynyl DACs that delivers a myriad of α-tertiary amines with high levels of enantioselectivities.

Cerebral oximetry index indicates delirium or stroke after carotid endarterectomy: An observational study.

Backgrounds: The cerebral oximetry index (CO) uses near-infrared spectroscopy to estimate cerebral autoregulation during cardiac surgery. However, the relationship between intraoperative loss of cerebral autoregulation and postoperative delirium or stroke remains unclear in patients recovering from carotid endarterectomy (CEA).

Methods: Our prospective observational cohort study enrolled patients scheduled for CEA.

Interleukin-37 (IL-37) is a natural suppressor of innate inflammation. Here, we aim to investigate the potential of IL-37 in enhancing the healing process of diabetic wounds.

Genetic susceptibility of diffuse large B-cell lymphoma: a meta genome-wide association study in Asian population.
