Piezoelectric materials are increasingly used in portable smart electronics and Internet of Things sensors. Among them, piezoelectric macro fiber composites (MFCs) have attracted much attention due to their architectural simplicity, scalability, and high-power density. However, most MFCs currently use toxic lead-based piezoelectric materials, hindering their applications for bio-friendly intelligent electronics.

The aim of this study was to examine the evolution of the disease burden of male infertility in China during the period 1990-2021 and to project the trend for 2022-2036.
Methods: By screening and processing data from the Global Burden of Disease 2021, this study obtained data on the prevalence, disability-adjusted life years and corresponding rates and age-standardised rates of male infertility between 1990 and 2021.
Guillain-Barré syndrome (GBS) is characterized classically by progressive and symmetrical motor weakness and areflexia. We describe a case of GBS with initially preserved reflexes and power, leading to delayed diagnosis, who latterly required urgent ventilator support and plasmapharesis to highlight the importance of considering atypical presentations of this common condition.

The primary challenges facing solid tumor therapies are accessibility, incomplete surgical removal of tumor tissue, the resistance of the hypoxic and heterogeneous tumor microenvironment to chemotherapy and radiation, and suffering caused by off-target toxicities. Here, sonodynamic therapy (SDT) is an evolving therapeutic approach that uses low-intensity ultrasound to target deep-tissue solid tumors.
