The preparation of polyethylene terephthalate(PET)-based Carbon Dots (PET-CDs) using one-step hydrothermal method with PET waste, pyromellitic acid (PMA) and ammonia (NH·HO) as precursors is a high-value utilization strategy for PET waste, offering significant application potential.
