The potential consequences of the number of chronic pain sites (referred to multisite chronic pain) on the risk of cardiovascular diseases (CVDs) remain unclear. We attempted to investigate the causality of multisite chronic pain with CVDs and its possible causal mediators. Using summary genome-wide association statistics, two-sample Mendelian randomization (MR) analyses were performed to assess whether multisite chronic pain has a causal effect on the 3 CVDs including coronary artery disease, atrial fibrillation, and stroke.

Background: Patients with trigeminal neuralgia (TN) often develop a terrible fear of triggering pain, which may lead to anxiety and depression, exerting a negative effect on their quality of life. This protocol is carried out to comprehensively explore the effectiveness and safety of acupuncture for treating anxiety and depression induced by TN.

Methods: Randomized control trials involving acupuncture for treating patients with anxiety and depression caused by TN will be searched in eight electric databases, including PubMed, Web of Science, EMBASE, Cochrane Central Register of Controlled Trials, Chinese National Knowledge Infrastructure, Chinese Biomedical Literature Database, Wanfang Database and Technology Periodical Database (VIP).

A chromatographic method was developed for the determination of glufosinate (GLUF), aminomethylphosphonic acid (AMPA), and glyphosate (GLY) in farmland soil by the post-column addition of alkali using high performance anion exchange chromatography-pulse amperometric detection. Samples were extracted with 2 mmol/L sodium hydroxide solution, then filtered through a 0.22 μm membrane, and purified by a IC-C column and IC-Na column.

Introduction: Studies of the effects of stem cell therapy on type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) have not reached consistent results. Our meta-analysis aimed to systematically evaluate the efficacy of autologous bone marrow-derived stem cells (ABM-MNCs) on T2DM.

Methods: We systematically searched PubMed, EMBASE, Web of Science, and the Cochrane Library for studies published between 1980 and May 2018.

A chromatographic method was developed for the determination of choline, putrescine and cadaverine in boletus by cation exchange chromatography with suppressed conductivity detection. Samples were extracted with 7 mmol/L methanesulfonic acid solution, then filtered through a membrane, and purified by a reversed phase solid phase extraction column. Choline, putrescine, cadaverine and coexisting ions in the samples were separated well on the IonPac CS17 cation exchange column (250 mm×4 mm).
