The goal of this study was to assess factors that are associated with 24-h memory retention in older adults with epilepsy.
Methods: Fifty-five adults with epilepsy, all aged >50 years, performed a declarative memory task involving the recall of the positions of 15 card pairs on a computer screen prior to a 24-h ambulatory electroencephalogram (EEG).

For patients who fail low dose levetiracetam (LEV), a reasonable alternative to increasing dosage may be the addition of a low-dose adjunctive AED.
Methods: In this open-label, pilot trial, low-dose lacosamide (200 mg/d) was added to adult patients with breakthrough seizures on low-dose monotherapy LEV (≤1500 mg/d).
Secretory phospholipase A2 (sPLA2) is an important enzyme that plays a key role in various inflammatory diseases including cancer and its inhibitors have been developed as preventive or therapeutic agents. In the present study, a series of new indole containing isoxazole derivatives (10a-10o) is synthesized and evaluated for their sPLA2 inhibitory activities. All compounds (10a-10o) showed significant sPLA2 inhibition activities both in vitro and in vivo studies which is substantiated in in silico studies.

SCNP-evaluable patients from four SWOG AML trials were randomized between Training (N = 74 patients with CR, CRi or RD; BM set = 43; PB set = 57) and Validation Analysis Sets (N = 71; BM set = 42, PB set = 53).
