The World Health Organization (WHO) has launched a new 10-year cardiovascular risk prediction recommendation known as the WHO Cardiovascular Risk Chart 2019 (WHO CRC). However, there is currently no assessment available regarding the relationship between ASCVD classic and occupational profiles to WHO CRC, specifically in occupational settings and in the context of the Indonesian Heart Association's (IHA) adjusted version of the WHO CRC for South-East Asia (WHO CRC-INA). This study aims to fill this gap by examining the relationship between classic (Atherosclerosis Cardiovascular Disease) ASCVD and occupational profiles within the oil and gas industry, specifically the WHO CRC-INA.

Cyclooxygenase (COX) and lipoxygenase (LOX) enzymes play a pivotal role in producing pro-inflammatory eicosanoids, including prostaglandins (PGs) and leukotrienes (LTs), in the inflammation process. Mitragynine is a primary alkaloid contained in the kratom's leaves and has been reported to show anti-inflammatory activity by suppressing COX-2 mRNA translation to lowering PGs synthesis. In this study, the Kratom's alkaloid extract containing ~ 46% mitragynine was found to exhibit dual inhibition activity towards COX-2/5-LOX enzymes at concentrations below 25 ppm in the LPS-induced RAW 264.

The number of spinal reconstruction cases is growing, as are the accompanying complications. Wound complications after spinal reconstruction can be fatal and can affect up to 19% of patients undergoing major spine surgery. The discipline of spinoplastic surgery is characterized by the use of vascularized bone grafts to reconstruct spinal defects, which provide better results compared with nonvascularized and allogenic equivalents, owing to their superior blood supply.

In Indonesia, the monitoring of rainfall requires an estimation system with a high resolution and wide spatial coverage because of the complexities of the rainfall patterns. This study built a rainfall estimation model for Indonesia through the integration of data from various instruments, namely, rain gauges, weather radars, and weather satellites. An ensemble learning technique, specifically, extreme gradient boosting (XGBoost), was applied to overcome the sparse data due to the limited number of rain gauge points, limited weather radar coverage, and imbalanced rain data.

Background: Optimal management of fetuses diagnosed as small for gestational age based on an estimated fetal weight of <10th percentile represents a major clinical problem. The standard approach is to increase fetal surveillance with serial biometry and antepartum testing to assess fetal well-being and timing of delivery. Observational studies have indicated that maternal rest in the left lateral position improves maternal cardiac output and uterine blood flow.

We report the synergistic combination of Pd(OAc) and AgO for the oxidative C-H arylation of (poly)fluoroarenes with aryl pinacol boronates (Ar-Bpin) in DMF as the solvent. This procedure can be conducted easily in air, and without using additional ligands, to afford the fluorinated unsymmetrical biaryl products in up to 98 % yield. Experimental studies suggest that the formation of [PdL(CF)] in DMF as coordinating solvent does not take place under the reaction conditions as it is stable to reductive elimination and thus would deactivate the catalyst.
