Biomolecular condensates have recently retained much attention given that they provide a fundamental mechanism of cellular organization. Among those, cytoplasmic ribonucleoprotein (RNP) granules selectively and reversibly concentrate RNA molecules and regulatory proteins, thus contributing to the spatiotemporal regulation of associated RNAs. Extensive in vitro work has unraveled the molecular and chemical bases of RNP granule assembly.

We conducted serosurveys among pregnant women to monitor the trend of rubella immunity and estimate the CRS burden in India following a nationwide measles and rubella vaccination campaign.
Methods: We surveyed pregnant women at 13 sentinel sites across India from Aug to Oct 2022 to estimate seroprevalence of rubella IgG antibodies.
Introduction: The present study examined the morphology and morphometric parameters of the pyramidalis muscle (PM) in detail with their potential applicability in making midline infra-umbilical incisions and biomechanics of the linea alba.
Methods: PM was examined in 51 formalin-fixed cadavers (36 males and 15 females), and based on the mode of insertion or the level of apex, the formation or shape of the muscle was classified into nine types (Mori's classification).
Results: Bilateral PM was more prevalent (39.
Vaginal cysts are often encountered in gynaecological outpatient settings. These are usually asymptomatic in their initial course but become symptomatic when their size increases or they get infected. While evaluating such cases, clinical examination plays a vital role in ruling out their differential diagnoses.

Dynamic magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) of the pelvic floor is an emerging modality for anatomical and functional assessment of the pelvic floor and staging of POP. The purpose of this study was to correlate the dynamic MRI findings with POP-Q examination for the staging of POP in each pelvic compartment by comparing various anatomic points.

Background: COVID-19 vaccination was introduced to combat the dreadful impacts of human coronavirus infection. The two indigenously developed COVID-19 vaccines approved for use in India are COVISHIELD and COVAXIN.
Presynaptic plasticity adjusts neurotransmitter (NT) liberation. Short-term facilitation (STF) tunes synapses to millisecond repetitive activation, while presynaptic homeostatic potentiation (PHP) of NT release stabilizes transmission over minutes. Despite different timescales of STF and PHP, our analysis of Drosophila neuromuscular junctions reveals functional overlap and shared molecular dependence on the release-site protein Unc13A.

Recently, immunohistochemical expression of biomarkers has been utilized as indicators of disease progression, aggressiveness for predicting the prognosis in various cancers. DNA methylation of genes plays an important role in pathogenesis of carcinoma cervix and detection of aberrant methylation can be utilized for detection of carcinoma cervix and monitoring of its progression.

Microalbuminuria may be an early marker of endothelial dysfunction which can lead to various complications during the course of pregnancy. The objective of our study was to evaluate the correlation of mid-trimester spot urinary ACR with the pregnancy outcome.

It has become more accurate over the past few decades as a result of advances in radiodiagnostic imaging. While obstetric ultrasonography in the first trimester has been utilized extensively for gestational age assessment and confirmation of fetal viability, the imaging technique has seen little exposure in predicting pregnancy outcomes.

Method: The study included 180 women aged 35-65 years, who were VIA positive in a colposcopy clinic. All participants had the initial stream of a random urine sample tested for the presence of high-risk HPV (hrHPV) types 16 and 18 and acetowhite lesions were biopsied per protocol.
The morbidly adherent placenta has evolved into one of the potentially life-threatening conditions in obstetrics. Vaginal bleeding is the most common presentation of placenta percreta. Other symptoms include unusual dull, prolonged lower abdominal pain.

However, due to less availability of data on HPV burden and its genotypes from various geographical regions in India makes cervical cancer screening modalities and vaccination strategies difficult to implement.
Objective: The present study was conducted to identify the various genotypes particularly high-risk HPV types in premalignant or malignant cervical lesions.
Cytoplasmic RNP condensates enriched in mRNAs and proteins are found in various cell types and associated with both buffering and regulatory functions. While a clear link has been established between accumulation of aberrant RNP aggregates and progression of aging-related neurodegenerative diseases, the impact of physiological aging on neuronal RNP condensates has never been explored. Through high-resolution imaging, we uncover that RNP components progressively cluster into large yet dynamic granules in the aging Drosophila brain.

They are thought to contribute to the adaptive stress response by storing translationally inactive mRNAs as well as signaling molecules. Recent work has shown that SG composition and properties depend on both stress and cell types, and that neurons exhibit a complex SG proteome and a strong vulnerability to mutations in SG proteins.

We report a case of a 27-year-old nulligravida of Asian origin from the Indian subcontinent who presented with a huge adenomyotic uterus with mild splenomegaly, and portal cavernoma having gross ascites that developed life-threatening peritonitis and septicaemia. Endometrial aspiration done showed no atypia or malignancy and upper gastrointestinal tract endoscopy done showed no dilated varices.

Towards this goal, India conducted nationwide supplementary immunization activity (SIA) with measles-rubella containing vaccine (MRCV) targeting children aged between 9 months to <15 years and established a hospital-based sentinel surveillance for CRS. Reliable data about incidence of CRS is necessary to monitor progress towards the elimination goal.

How these two types of organelles interact to regulate cellular functions is still largely unclear. In this review, we highlight how membraneless ribonucleoprotein (RNP) organelles, enriched in RNAs and associated regulatory proteins, cooperate with membrane-bound organelles for tight spatio-temporal control of gene expression in the axons of neuronal cells.

The diagnosis of uterine smooth muscle tumours is usually not difficult. Occasionally, benign tumours with an unusual histopathology may cause some dilemma for clinicians who had not experienced such report before. A 50-year-old female patient was admitted to our gynaecology clinics with lower abdominal heaviness and urinary symptoms and undergone total abdominal hysterectomy with bilateral salpingo-oophorectomy with a probable diagnosis of cervical fibroid.
