In spite of advances in medical sciences, diagnosis of ectopic pregnancy eludes the clinician. In this case series, we describe three variants of life-threatening pregnancies. The successful management of these cases hinged on a strong index of suspicion and early detection.

Objectives: Periodontal infections are an important risk factor for systemic disease and are driven primarily by the cytokines. Migration Inhibitory Factor (MIF) is a key cytokine which mediates acute and chronic inflammation alongside, a molecular link between chronic inflammation and immune mediated conditions. Hence, the present study was carried to measure the serum MIF levels in periodontal health, disease and to correlate the levels with the clinical parameters.

Cadmium (Cd) causes oxidative damage and affects nodulation and nitrogen fixation process of legumes. Arbuscular mycorrhizal (AM) fungi have been demonstrated to alleviate heavy metal stress of plants. The present study was conducted to assess role of AM in alleviating negative effects of Cd on nodule senescence in Cajanus cajan genotypes differing in their metal tolerance.
