Objective: Small molecule calcitonin gene-related peptide (CGRP) antagonists such as rimegepant, ubrogepant, and atogepant have been approved for migraine treatment and/or prevention. These molecules are metabolized by cytochrome P-450 3A4 (CYP3A4) enzymes in vivo, hence they are contraindicated or recommended to be avoided in combination with strong/moderate CYP3A4 inhibitors, namely posaconazole (strong) and isavuconazonium (moderate). However, no literature has been published on the impact this interaction has on patient safety and tolerability.
