We have described a dual palladium-photoredox-catalyzed highly regioselective acylation of carbazoles and indolines using molecular oxygen as the green oxidant. The reaction shows a broad substrate scope and good functional group tolerance. Late-stage functionalization of a carprofen drug derivative, further manipulation of products, and gram-scale synthesis of the acylated products were illustrated to show the versatility of the method.

Ameloblastoma, a relatively rare benign odontogenic tumor; originates from the odontogenic epithelium and has been studied extensively for its unique clinicopathologic features. It usually exhibits a range of histopathologic features, such as follicular, plexiform, acanthomatous, granular, basal cell, and desmoplastic variants, which are well recognized. The occurrence of mucous cells in ameloblastoma is an exceptionally rare phenomenon and to date only 4 well established cases have been reported.

Pilomatricoma, also known as "Calcifying Epithelioma of Malherbe" is an uncommon, benign, cutaneous tumor originating from the hair matrix. Most often, its precise preoperative diagnosis is not possible. Rarity of this lesion and its histological resemblance to the calcifying odontogenic cyst (the Gorlin's cyst) make it relevant, both to the maxillofacial surgeons and the pathologists.

Primary intraosseous carcinoma/odontogenic carcinomas are extremely rare malignant odontogenic tumours that are thought to arise from residues of odontogenic epithelium. An unusual case of primary intraosseous carcinoma arising de novo in a previously unreported site of posterior maxilla is described. The tumour was characterized by sheets of pleomorphic round-to-ovoid cells and marked osteoid/dentinoid formation with foci of globular mineralization.
