Introduction Elderly people may experience a deterioration in cognitive function as part of natural aging, which impacts their ability to function independently. Dementia is often experienced by the elderly; their cognitive and memory deficits can limit independence and productivity. Background  Aging has an impact on women's quality of life and is closely correlated with deteriorating social support systems and cognitive abilities. This project intends to improve women's performance, independence, and quality of life by using meta-cognitive strategy-based activities to improve executive functioning and their capacity to maintain social networks. The ultimate objective is to keep older women's cognitive abilities from declining and to give them more independence in carrying out essential everyday tasks.

Objective: Objective To analyze the risk of premature atherosclerosis in children with transfusion-dependent thalassemia (TDT) compared to controls by measuring carotid intima-media thickness (CIMT) and correlating it with clinical and biochemical parameters.

Methods: Case-control study among children aged 2 to 15 years.

Results: Significantly higher CIMT values were observed across all age groups.

Background: Rongmei tribe (Kooki), are inhabitant of the Charoi Chagotlong village, Tupul, Tamenglong district of Manipur have the traditional knowledge of folk bio-medicine based on diverse plant species for the prevention and cure of certain chronic diseases. The aim of this study was to document and preserve the indigenous knowledge of the Rongmei tribe on folk medicines.
