- Rheumatoid arthritis (RA) is a chronic inflammatory disease, and musculoskeletal ultrasonography (USG) is being increasingly used for evaluating disease activity in patients, particularly in India where such studies are limited.
- The study aimed to compare disease activity scores from clinical evaluations with scores obtained from musculoskeletal ultrasound in RA patients.
- Results indicated a strong positive correlation between disease activity scores (like DAS 28 and CDAI) and the USG findings, suggesting that USG can effectively assess joint conditions and may serve as a cost-effective alternative to traditional imaging methods.

Leprosy can present with a variety of clinical manifestations depending on the immune status of the individual. After dermatological and neurological involvement, rheumatic features specially various forms of arthritis are the third most common manifestation of the disease. We describe a unique case of a 22-year-old patient presenting with external ear involvement mimicking relapsing polychondritis along with inflammatory joint symptoms and skin lesions.
