Hispanic/Latinx parents of children with developmental delays/disabilities (DD) face disparities in service access and research participation. In the present study, 60 Spanish-speaking caregivers of young children with DD participated in randomly assigned stress reduction interventions (psychoeducation/support groups or Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction [MBSR]), followed by behavioral parent training (BPT). Caregiver attendance and satisfaction ratings were measured, and focus groups gathered additional information on caregivers' takeaways from the interventions.

Antinuclear antibodies (ANA) are key biomarkers in the evaluation of rheumatic diseases. The prevalence and clinical significance of uncommon or rare patterns, particularly those directed at the mitotic spindle apparatus (MSA), are not well understood. We aimed to investigate the prevalence and clinical significance of anti-MSA patterns in a Colombian population.

Lentiviral vectors containing the green fluorescent protein gene have been successfully used to select transgenic embryos before transfer to a surrogate mother. However, there are apparently no reports regarding early detection of transgenic embryos using a lentiviral vector carrying an additional transcription unit for tissue-specific expression of a valuable protein. In this study, two HIV-based lentiviral vectors were constructed.

The prevalence of low HDL-C levels in an HIV population and its related factors was investigated. We undertook a multicenter, cross-sectional study of all HIV patients on regular follow-up in five hospitals (Southern Spain). A physical examination and fasting laboratory analysis were performed and a questionnaire about cardiovascular risk factors was provided.

Background: Postprandial hyperlipidemia is a common feature in type 2 diabetes; our aim was to investigate whether there is an association between subclinical peripheral arterial disease (PAD) and the levels of apolipoprotein B48, as a specific marker for postprandial lipidemia.

Methods: We enrolled 101 patients with type 2 diabetes and 73 controls free from clinical cardiovascular disease. Main outcome measures were the presence of subclinical PAD, assessed by the ankle-brachial index, and the intestinal particles measured as the concentration of apolipoprotein B48 at fasting and 4h after a mixed breakfast.
