Acantholytic dyskeratosis mimicking Grover disease as a cutaneous manifestation of a side effect to the Moderna (mRNA-1273) COVID vaccine is rare with only one documented case in the literature to date. Herein, we present a case of an eruptive, erythematous, vesiculopapular rash developing in a patient after the Moderna vaccine. Histopathology of a representative biopsy [x2, done 8 weeks apart] of the rash revealed similar histopathologic findings of patchy suprabasal acantholysis with dyskeratotic keratinocytes and an underlying inflammatory infiltrate of lymphocytes and neutrophils.

Hidradenitis suppurativa (HS) is a chronic immune-mediated skin disorder characterized by inflamed, painful abscesses most commonly located in the intertriginous regions that may lead to significant scarring and social stigma. It is unclear how much patients with HS understand about their disease. We sought to evaluate baseline knowledge of patients who have HS, as well as to evaluate if an educational intervention of a teaching session about the disease will help increase patient's knowledge of their ailment and treatment options.

Atopic Dermatitis (AD) is a chronic inflammatory skin disease that is a significant cause of morbidity, quality-of-life impairment and health-care costs. Although many patients can be treated satisfactorily with topical medications and phototherapy, a smaller subset requires more aggressive systemic therapies. Psoriasis is a systemic inflammatory disease associated with a variety of comorbidities. It has been shown that psoriasis patients have an increased incidence of nonalcoholic fatty liver disease over controls. Patients with nonalcoholic fatty liver disease and psoriasis have more severe skin disease and are at higher risk of severe liver fibrosis than patients without psoriasis.
