Nummular headache is a rather rare type, related to primary headaches according to the International Classification of Headache Disorders - III. Many aspects of nummular headache have not been studied, medical practitioners are unfamiliar with the clinical features and approaches to therapy. Statistics of this type of cephalgia in children is unknown.

Control-flow chartfor the evaluation of mass non-communicable diseases and medical-ecological situation in the territory on the basis of techniques and methods of risk assessment for decision-making control includes the following steps: 1) determination of the conditional regional level of the background prevalence rate as the unit of regional type of population health, shaped by regional climatic and geographic and other features of the environmental conditions; 2) detection of the epidemiological relative risk of the morbidity rate and mass non-infectious diseases; 3) determination of the wave-like character of the dynamics of the riskfor mass non-infectious morbidity rate of the population and the adaptation process shaping it in the territories; 4) separating the leading mass non-communicable diseases, especially shaping peculiarities of local variants of population health in the special industrial and non-industrial areas; 5) determination of the degree of stringency of medical and environmental situation (or ecological trouble) in the studied area, with local variants ofpopulation health; 6) a forecast of the expected trends in the dynamics of the risk for mass non-infectious prevalence rate; 7) justification of the main directions of the development of medical and environmental preventive measures on the reduction of mass non-infectious diseases and the improvement of the quality of health of the population in the studied areas. The given methodical complex will allow to more effectively solve problems ofprevention of mass non-infectious prevalence of the population and improve health and environmental conditions in the study area based on public health monitoring data.

The improvement of the quality of life of the population depends on the effectiveness of performed preventative measures that are carried out with taking into account the features of the territories. Proposed approach for the detection of the local variants of population health with the aid of the method of estimation of the relative risk of morbidity allows to determine the features of population health (according to the number of leading ecodependent classes of diseases with enhanced and high risk for the incidence) in industrial and non-industrial areas and priorities among them, requiring preventive measures on the improvement of the level of population health and advancement of the quality of life of the population.

Under conditions of prolonged exposure to air pollution and other adverse unfavorable factors of industrial cities in the population of all age groups long cyclic changes of adaptation processes in the body in the form of repeated 11-15-years cycles in which a period of relative destabilization of physiological functions with lowered resistance is replaced by the period with the state of elevated nonspecific resistance were established to be observed. Undulating changes of the dynamics of the relative risks of general morbidity should be considered in the assessment of the medical and environmental situation in the territory and making the managing decisions at the base on the data of public health monitoring.

The data presented indicate to environmental troubles in territories of considered industrial cities over the past two decades due to the high degree of intensity of medical and environmental situation on levels of morbidity (accordingly to medical aid appealability rate) of child and adolescent population.

Their solution permit to improve the risk assessment methodology in Russia and overcome unnecessary barriers in the way of a practical application of the criteria of acceptable risk and damage to health to support management decisions.

The approach to health assessment of the environmental situation, where sigma intervals are used as criteria of belonging population morbidity in certain administrative areas in the region to the background incidence rate was proposed. The suggested criteria will increase the objectivity of the assessment of environmental health situation in the environment and health monitoring and implementation of epidemiological research.

Its dynamics is investigated by X-ray structure determination at eight different temperatures from 122 to 304 K and by means of Mössbauer spectroscopy. A comparison of this beta-sheet protein with the pure alpha-helical protein myoglobin (abbreviated Mbmet) is performed.

The study has revealed changes in metabolic processes, physical development, and blood circulation in the population of children, which are considered to be manifestations of adaptive processes to environmental factors, primarily chemical ambient air pollution and iodine deficiency.

A change of the ligation in this H64V-Mbmet has been observed by optical absorption spectroscopy as a function of temperature from 20 K to 300 K. Above the dynamical transition at about 180 K one observes the temperature-dependent equilibrium between five- and six-ligated heme.

Metmyoglobin has been reduced at low temperature (below 100 K) using x-rays or by excitation of tris(2,2,bipyridine)ruthenium(II) chloride with visible light. Upon reduction, an intermediate state is formed where the structure of the protein is very similar to that of metmyoglobin with the water molecule still bound to the heme iron, but the iron is II low spin. The nature of the intermediate state has been investigated with optical spectroscopy.
View Article and Find Full Text PDFA metastable state of myoglobin is produced by reduction of metmyoglobin at low temperatures. This is done either by irradiation with x-rays at 80 K or by electron transfer from photoexcited tris(2, 2'-bipyridine)-ruthenium(II) at 20 K. At temperatures above 150 K, the conformational transition toward the equilibrium deoxymyoglobin is observed.

Those methods are designed to analyze and evaluate contribution made by air pollution sources into ecologically related risk for population living in territories of ecological hazard (exemplified by Angarsk city). Findings are that use of EPA methods combined with epidemiological risk evaluation technology appears the most effective.

The intermediate is characterized with the metMb (r) conformation of the protein globule and a low spin heme Fe(II) with a water molecule on the sixth coordination site. The intermediate is stable at 77 K but relaxes with increasing temperature into equilibrium deoxymyoglobin with dissociation of the bond Fe(II)-H2O and the transition of the Iron into the high spin state.

Mössbauer spectra showed a reduction of Fe(III) high spin by thermalized electrons and a production of a metastable Fe(II) low spin myoglobin complex with H2O at its sixth coordination site. The relaxation of the intermediate was investigated by Mössbauer spectroscopy as a function of temperature and time.

Monitoring involves services of surveillance and control over sources of discharges and harmful impurities content in the atmosphere, meterological conditions, and AIS carrying out the functions of data collection and accumulation, analysis and assessment, prediction of the air basin status. The created instrument can be functioning in several regimens: for the analysis and assessment of the observed atmospheric status and the role of industrial sources in air pollution; for the prediction and assessment of the air basin status in association with the planned or expected effectiveness of measures aimed at the reduction of exhaust.
