Analysis of experimental spectra of phosphine in the Tetradecad range near 2.3 μm using ab initio calculations.

Due to its major interest for the chemistry of planetary atmospheres and exobiology, accurate spectroscopy data of phosphine are required for the search of signatures of this molecule in astronomical observations. In this work, high resolution infrared laboratory spectra of phosphine were analyzed for the first time in the full Tetradecad region (3769-4763 cm) involving 26 rotationally resolved bands. Overall, 3242 lines were assigned in spectra previously recorded by Fourier transform spectroscopy at temperatures 200 K and 296 K, using a combined theoretical model based on ab initio calculations.

A water-soluble octahedral molybdenum cluster complex as a potential agent for X-ray induced photodynamic therapy.

X-ray-induced photodynamic therapy (X-PDT) has recently evolved into a suitable modality to fight cancer. This technique, which exploits radiosensitizers producing reactive oxygen species, allows for a reduction of the radiation dose needed to eradicate cancer in the frame of the radiotherapy treatment of deep tumors. The use of transition metal complexes able to directly produce singlet oxygen, O(Δ), upon X-ray irradiation constitutes a promising route towards the optimization of the radiosensitizer's architecture.

Highly excited vibrational levels of methane up to 10 300 cm: Comparative study of variational methods.

In this work, we report calculated vibrational energy levels of the methane molecule up to 10 300 cm. Two potential energy surfaces constructed in quite different coordinate systems with different analytical representations are employed in order to evaluate the uncertainty of vibrational predictions. To calculate methane energy levels, we used two independent techniques of the variational method.
