Clinical diagnosis and management of spinocerebellar ataxia in a resource-constrained setting: a case report from Eastern Nepal.

Introduction: Spinocerebellar ataxias (SCA) are a diverse group of neurodegenerative disorders with autosomal dominant inheritance, primarily affecting the cerebellum and its connections. Diagnosis typically involves genetic testing, but in resource-limited settings, clinical and neuroimaging assessments become critical. This case report highlights the role of nongenetic methods in diagnosing SCA and outlines management strategies in such settings.

Posterior reversible encephalopathy syndrome due to nonadherence to antihypertensive treatment: A case report from Nepal.

Key Clinical Message: Posterior reversible encephalopathy syndrome may occur secondary to abrupt cessation of antihypertensive therapy. A gradual reduction in blood pressure and counseling regarding medication adherence are crucial to prevent adverse consequences.

Abstract: Posterior reversible encephalopathy syndrome (PRES) is a reversible clinical radiographic syndrome with headache, hypertensive encephalopathy, seizures, and visual disturbances as common modes of presentation.

Management of snake bite during third trimester of pregnancy with coagulopathy and delivery of a live baby in resource-limited setting in Nepal: a case report.

We reported a case of snakebite in an 18-year-old woman, Gravida 2 Para 1+0 in the third trimester of pregnancy who presented with pain and swelling over the left hand and forearm and vaginal spotting. The laboratory investigations revealed coagulopathy attributed to green pit viper envenomation. On the fourth day of admission, the patient developed sudden abdominal pain and massive per vaginal bleeding with haemorrhagic shock, most likely abruptio placentae.

Plasmablastic lymphoma of the colon in HIV negative patient; a case report with literature review.

Introduction: Plasmablastic lymphoma (PBL) is a rare and aggressive variant of diffuse large B cell lymphoma characterized by weak or absent expression of conventional B cell markers and strong expression of plasma cell markers. Very few cases of PBL of the colon have been reported in HIV negative patients.

Case Presentation: A 57 years female with HIV negative serology, a known case of hypertension under medication presented with right lower abdominal pain associated with vomiting and significant weight loss.
