- The study aimed to explore high school students' understanding of sexually transmitted infections (STIs), AIDS, and pregnancy, as well as the school's role in sex education.
- Conducted through semi-structured interviews with 22 students aged 16-19, the research identified four main themes: sexuality and sex education, understanding risk behaviors, knowledge about STI/AIDS, and prevention practices.
- The findings highlighted the urgent need for better educational initiatives in schools to equip adolescents with accurate information and promote health self-care, as their current lack of knowledge increases their vulnerability.
