Nonalcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) encompasses nonalcoholic steatohepatitis (NASH) and affects 25% of the global population. Although a plethora of experimental models for studying NASH have been proposed, still scarce findings regarding the hepatic metabolomic/molecular profile.
