Burkitt's lymphoma is a common cause of tumor lysis syndrome (TLS) and, in the era of aggressive utilization of prophylactic allopurinol and recombinant uricase enzyme, nephrologists are increasingly witnessing monovalent or divalent cation abnormalities without marked uric acid elevation.
