PAP smear is one of the best screening tools available for early detection of cervical cancer. Hence, we conducted a retrospective study at the Department of Pathology, Sree Balaji Medical College and Hospital over a period of one year by collecting PAP smear data. A total of 978 smears were collected out of which 59% were premenopausal and 41% were post menopausal women.

Gall bladder diseases are a significant cause of morbidity and mortality worldwide. Gall bladder diseases comprise a wide spectrum of disease entities including non specific inflammatory diseases, acute and chronic cholecystitis, follicular cholecystitis, granulomatous cholecystitis, metaplasic and dysplastic diseases of the gall bladder mucosa, gall bladder polyps and carcinomas. Here, we describe an unusual and a rare case of granulomatous vasculitis of the gall bladder incidentally diagnosed in a 38-year-old female, in a routine cholecystectomy specimen.

Children with Down syndrome (DS) present with a spectrum of hematolymphoid malignancies ranging from transient myeloproliferative disorder (TMD) which regress spontaneously to frank acute leukemia of both myeloid and lymphoid lineage. Here we present a series of three cases with different manifestation in DS. Three cases of DS presented with TMD, acute myeloid leukemia (AML-M2) and acute megakaryoblastic leukemia (AMKL), respectively.
