This study focuses on the synthesis of propyl-phenyl acetate via esterification reaction in the presence of immobilized Candida antartica lipase-B (CAL-B). In this work, the effect of relevant factors (kinetics and thermodynamic) on total percent conversion and process optimization was studied. The reaction was performed in heptane medium with 1:2 molar ratio of benzoic acid: n-propanol with 0.

It is made up of chitosan (fish industry-waste) doped onto the magnetic core with active silver nanoparticles on the exterior shell using NaBH as reductant and total soluble solids (dairy effluent-waste) as a stabilizing agent. TEM images confirm the average mean diameter of composed nanocatalyst about 8 ± 2.

Various parameters affecting the binding of enzyme to activated carbon with high surface area (1603 m g) were optimized. Maximum 200 μg g CALB has been loaded at 40 °C and pH 6.

The ultrasound-assisted hydrolysis of aspirin methyl ester (AME) was investigated using immobilized Candida antarctica lipase B (CALB) (1%) in the presence of solvents like triolein, chloroform (CHCl) and dichloromethane (DCM). The effect of ultrasound and the role of water on the conversion rates have also been investigated. Proton nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopic (H NMR) was chosen to calculate hydrolysis convertion rates.

The synthesis of these polyesters was based on the ester-ester exchange reaction between ethylene glycol diacetate and di-ethyl glutarate, di-benzyl malonate, di-n-octyl phthalate to produce poly (ethylene glutarate), poly (ethylene malonate) and poly (ethylene phthalate), respectively. The effect of ultrasound and PET polymeric beads was evaluated and showed to improve the synthesis of all polyesters.
