Plasma cell leukaemia is diagnosed when plasma cells are >20% in the peripheral blood. Plasma cell leukaemia may be present at the time of diagnosis (primary plasma cell leukaemia) or may evolve from multiple myeloma (secondary plasma cell leukaemia).
