Sclerosing polycystic adenosis of lower lip: A new and rare salivary gland entity.

Sclerosing polycystic adenosis (SPA) was first described in 1996 by Smith . and was characterized by resemblance to epithelial proliferative lesions of the breast such as fibrocystic disease and sclerosing adenosis. Etiopathogenetically, it is generally believed to represent a nonneoplastic sclerosing and inflammatory process.
