Disseminated Histoplasmosis with Haemophagocytic Lymphohistiocytosis in an Immunocompetent Host.

Haemophagocytic lymphohistiocytosis (HLH) is a devastating syndrome due to uninhibited immune activation. Disseminated histoplasmosis is a rare cause of HLH. There have been few case reports and series demonstrating a relation between the two disease entities in immunosuppressed hosts.
