Airway management is a core skill essential for anaesthesiologists and health care providers involved in resuscitation and acute care of patients. Advancements in airway management are continuously evolving. This narrative review highlights the recent advancements with respect to innovations, tools, techniques, guidelines, and research in both technical and non-technical aspects of airway management.

Myasthenia Gravis and COVID-19 - A Clinical Checkmate.

Myasthenia gravis (MG) patients with coronavirus disease (COVID-19) pose a unique challenge for intensive care management. Higher risk of infection is observed in patients with MG due to the immunosuppressant medications they are prescribed. The underlying component of respiratory muscle weakness predisposes these patients to experience a more severe form of illness.

Critical care as a career for anaesthesiologists.

Anaesthesiologists by virtue of their understanding of physiology, pharmacology and resuscitation skills are best suited to manage critical care units. Armed with this varied knowledge, the anaesthesiologist is 'physician to the surgeon and a surgeon to the physician'. Specialised training helps them to provide extended postoperative and critical care.
