Mitigating Misinformation Toolkit: Addressing COVID-19 Misinformation Through Interprofessional Learning and Collaboration Using a Standardized Patient-Based Educational Module.

Introduction: Medical mis- and disinformation are on the rise and impact patient health outcomes. The complexity of modern medicine and health care delivery necessitates that care be delivered by an interprofessional team of providers well versed in addressing this increased prevalence of medical misinformation. Health professions educational curricula often lack opportunities for students to learn how to address medical misinformation, employ advanced communication techniques, and work collaboratively.

Enlarging the Arsenal of Test Species for Sediment Quality Assessment.

Since only a few standard benthic test species are available for sediment quality, our study aimed to employ multiple test species representing different sensitivity categories in the quality assessment of contaminated sediments. To this end three macroinvertebrate species, Sericostoma personatum (caddisfly, sensitivity category 10), Asellus aquaticus (isopod, category 3) and Chironomus riparius (chironomid, category 2), were exposed to sediments originating from various contamination sources in whole sediment bioassays using intact sediment cores. The agricultural sediment caused insect mortality, the agricultural and urban sediment caused isopod growth reduction and the urban and Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP) sediment affected chironomid emergence time.

Introduction: Interruptions in the emergency department (ED) are associated with clinical errors, yet are important when providing care to multiple patients. Screening triage electrocardiograms (ECG) for ST-segment elevation myocardial infarction (STEMI) represent a critical interrupting task that emergency physicians (EP) frequently encounter. To address interruptions such as ECG interpretation, many EPs engage in task switching, pausing their primary task to address an interrupting task.
