Epidermolysis Bullosa is an inherited mechanobullous disorder which presents in the neonatal period as blistering skin lesions. In this case report, we describe an uncommon presentation of Epidermolysis Bullosa Simplex in a term infant, weighing 2640 g, born to a mother who was also diagnosed with Epidermolysis Bullosa Pruriginosa during the course of the evaluation of her newborn. The clinical situation presented us with a unique dilemma with regard to routine newborn care practices including handling, skin and diaper care.

Methods: A split-mouth study that included 26 CBCTs (52 sides) with unilateral impacted canine was designed. The parameters analyzed were alveolar height; bucco palatal width at 2 mm, 6 mm, and 10 mm from alveolar crest; premolar width; lateral angulation of incisors; root length of lateral incisors; and crown-root angulation of lateral incisors.
Aims And Objectives: Tobacco dependence is widely prevalent and a harmful chronic disorder. Achieving long-term tobacco abstinence is an important public health goal. This study aims to assess the long-term effectiveness of moderate-intensity treatment for tobacco cessation in the dental clinic setting.

The volume required for wound infiltration depending upon the site/size/severity of wound is yet to be defined for guiding the treating physicians. This study aimed to determine the volume of rabies immunoglobulin/rabies monoclonal antibody required for wound infiltration depending upon the site, size, and severity.

Early detection of Parkinson's disease (PD) is important which can enable early initiation of therapeutic interventions and management strategies. However, methods for early detection still remain an unmet clinical need in PD. In this study, we use the Patient Questionnaire (PQ) portion from the widely used Movement Disorder Society-Unified Parkinson's Disease Rating Scale (MDS-UPDRS) to develop prediction models that can classify early PD from healthy normal using machine learning techniques that are becoming popular in biomedicine: logistic regression, random forests, boosted trees and support vector machine (SVM).

The technique involves determination of concentration of a dissolved gas by irradiating the liquid with light of a wavelength where the gas absorbs, and measuring the temperature change caused by the absorbance. Conventionally, detection of dissolved gases with sufficient sensitivity and specificity was done by first extracting the gases from the liquid and then analyzing the gases using techniques such as gas chromatography.

Congenital hemihyperplasia is a rare developmental disorder characterized by unilateral overgrowth of one or more body parts resulting in marked asymmetry. We are reporting here, a case of true hemifacial hypertrophy in a young female adult highlighting the clinical features and possible treatment options.

In this study, we use single photon emission computed tomography (SPECT) images from healthy normal, early PD, and SWEDD subjects, as obtained from the Parkinson's Progression Markers Initiative (PPMI) database, and process them to compute shape- and surface-fitting-based features. We use these features to develop and compare various classification models that can discriminate between scans showing dopaminergic deficit, as in PD, from scans without the deficit, as in healthy normal or SWEDD.

It is now established that there exists a premotor stage, before the start of these classic motor symptoms, characterized by a constellation of clinical features, mostly non-motor in nature such as Rapid Eye Movement (REM) sleep Behaviour Disorder (RBD) and olfactory loss. In this paper, we use the non-motor features of RBD and olfactory loss, along with other significant biomarkers such as Cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) measurements and dopaminergic imaging markers from 183 healthy normal and 401 early PD subjects, as obtained from the Parkinson's Progression Markers Initiative (PPMI) database, to classify early PD subjects from normal using Naïve Bayes, Support Vector Machine (SVM), Boosted Trees and Random Forests classifiers.

Aim: To determine the frequency of oral mucosal lesions and to correlate the dose-response relationship among CT users of Bengaluru North province.
Settings And Design: This population-based cross-sectional study was conducted among a randomized cluster sample of adults in low-income group (slums), of Bengaluru North, Karnataka state, India.

A retrospective study of eight cases ranging from age group of 4 to 17 years for oral and digital signs and symptoms is presented. All the patients showed congenital insensitivity to pain and anhidrosis.

In Parkinson's disease, there exists a prodromal or a premotor phase characterized by symptoms like olfactory loss and sleep disorders, which may last for years or even decades before the onset of motor clinical symptoms. Diagnostic tools based on machine learning using these features can be very useful as they have the potential in early diagnosis of the disease. In the paper, we use olfactory loss feature from 40-item University of Pennsylvania Smell Identification Test (UPSIT) and Sleep behavior disorder feature from Rapid eye movement sleep Behavior Disorder Screening Questionnaire (RBDSQ), obtained from the Parkinson's Progression Marker's Initiative (PPMI) database, to develop automated diagnostic models using Support Vector Machine (SVM) and classification tree methods.

Affected teeth show a deep infolding of enamel and dentin starting from the tip of the cusps and may extend deep into the root. It results from the invagination of the enamel organ into the dental papilla before calcification has occurred.

Aquaculture industry depends on development and testing of protocols for rearing and breeding of new aquaculture species as these techniques vary with species. In the present study attempts have been made to study the effect of temperature and salinity on the rate of growth of the marine ornamental fish, Pomacentrus caeruleus under artificial conditions. Results reveal the length and weight of the fish to increase gradually at an average rate of 0.
