A prevalent long-term medical condition in children that is rarely understood and acknowledged in educational contexts is developmental coordination disorder (DCD), which is one of the most prevalent conditions in school-aged children. Mild-to-severe abnormalities in muscle tone, posture, movement, and the learning of motor skills are associated with motor disorders. Early detection of developmental abnormalities in children is crucial as delayed motor milestones during infancy might indicate a delay in both physical and neurological development.

Accelerated hydroxychloroquine toxic retinopathy.

Purpose: To report a case series of patients with retinal toxicity due to hydroxychloroquine (HCQ) within a short span of treatment.

Methods: A retrospective review of case records of patients with accelerated HCQ toxicity within 1 year of starting the treatment was done. Systemic co-morbidities, details of HCQ treatment, details of ocular examination, and results of multimodal investigations were noted.

Oval Type of Human Mandibular Condyle in Panoramic Radiographs of a Tertiary Care Centre: A Descriptive Cross-sectional Study.

Introduction: Mandibular condyle is a prominent structure in the mandible, which forms the temporomandibular joint. An oval-shaped condyle is considered to be present with a normal temporomandibular joint and any morphological variation of the condyle is assumed to be pathologic in temporomandibular disorders. Myopia and glaucoma progression among patients with juvenile onset open angle glaucoma: A retrospective follow up study.

Background: MicroRNAs (miRNAs) have been identified as important contributors to the regulation of early fetal cardiopulmonary development. However, miRNA expression profiles during late gestation and the early neonatal period are not fully elaborated in large mammals such as sheep (ovis aries). Intravitreal bevacizumab for postviral fever retinitis: a novel approach for early resolution of macular oedema.

Severe macular oedema causing marked loss of vision is seen in cases of retinitis developing postviral fever. The use of antivascular endothelial growth factor agents for macular oedema and submacular fluid secondary to viral retinitis has not been studied or well established in the past. We report a case series of two patients of postviral retinitis with severe macular oedema resistant to steroid therapy, treated with intravitreal bevacizumab.

Primary healthcare policy implementation in South Asia.

Primary healthcare is considered an essential feature of health systems to secure population health and contain costs of healthcare while universal health coverage forms a key to secure access to care. This paper is based on a workshop at the 2016 World Organization of Family Doctors (WONCA) South Asia regional conference, where the health systems of Bangladesh, India, Nepal, Pakistan and Sri Lanka were presented in relation to their provision of primary healthcare. The five countries have in recent years improved the health of their populations, but currently face the challenges of non-communicable diseases and ageing populations.

L-type calcium current recovery versus ventricular repolarization: preserved membrane-stabilizing mechanism for different QT intervals across species.

Background: Long QT syndrome is associated with early after-depolarization (EAD) that may result in torsade de pointes (TdP). Interestingly, the corrected QT interval seems to be proportional to body mass across species under physiologic conditions.
