The gut microbiota, which includes prokaryotes, archaea, and eukaryotes such as yeasts, some protozoa, and fungi, significantly impacts fish by affecting digestion, metabolism, and the immune system. In this research, we combine various tasks carried out by various bacteria in the gut of fish. This study also examines the gut microbiome composition of marine and freshwater fish, identifying important bacterial species linked to different biological functions.

Background: Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus (T2DM) represents a significant and pressing worldwide health concern, necessitating the quest for enhanced antidiabetic pharmaceuticals. Guanidine derivatives, notably metformin and buformin, have emerged as pivotal therapeutic agents for T2DM management.
Aims: The present study introduces an efficient one-pot synthesis method for the production of symmetrical guanidine compounds.
Adipokines are now well-known to regulate reproduction. Visfatin is an adipokine expressed in the hypothalamus, pituitary, ovary, uterus, and placenta of different species, and since it has been found to modulate the endocrine secretion of the hypothalamus, pituitary gland and ovary, it may be considered a novel regulator of female reproduction. Although the majority of the literature explored its role in ovarian regulation, visfatin has also been shown to regulate uterine remodeling, endometrial receptivity and embryo development, and its expression in the uterus is steroid dependent.

Organic and inorganic forms of this substance can be found, in which the inorganic form is more hazardous than the organic form. Most aquatic bodies contain inorganic arsenic species, but organic species are believed to be the dominant form of arsenic in the majority of fish.

Antidiabetic drug metformin has gained an attention as antiaging drug in model organism and human but its effect on uterus has not been studied in relation to induced aging. Therefore, we investigated the effect of metformin on uterus of DG-induced aging mice model.

Materials And Methods: Diabetes was induced by intra-peritoneal administration of AXN. Mice with blood glucose level above 200 mg/dl were divided into Group I (control), Group II (diabetic control), Group III (diabetic control mice fed with SP), and Group IV (control mice fed with SP).
