Root-knot nematodes belonging to the genus are agriculturally important pests, and biocontrol strategies offer safer alternatives for their management. In the present study, two fungal species from Indian soils were identified as and based on morphological characteristics and further confirmed using molecular markers. evaluation of against and showed 82 and 73% parasitism, respectively, whereas gave 65.

The superiority of these compounds has expanded their utility from pharmaceutical to fragrances, including biofuel industries. In the present study, an engineered yeast strain Saccharomyces cerevisiae (YCF-AD1) was optimized for production of Amorpha-4, 11-diene, a precursor of anti-malarial drug using response surface methodology.

Our main objective was to overproduce amorpha 4-11-diene, which is a key precursor molecule of artemisinin (antimalarial drug) produced naturally in plant Artemisia annua through mevalonate pathway. Farnesyl diphosphate (FPP) is a common intermediate metabolite of a variety of compounds in the mevalonate pathway of yeast and leads to the production of ergosterols, dolichol and ubiquinone, and so forth.

Umbilical cord blood (UCB) derived mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs), on prolonged exposure with Lascorbic acid have been successfully differentiated in to osteoblasts (bone forming cells) without altering the phenotype of the cells. In this case study, the role of L-ascorbic acid on collagen biosynthesis and mineral deposition in MSCs has been assessed, which are ultimately matured in to an insoluble extra cellular matrix (ECM), giving mechanical strength to the bone cells.

Agrobacterium tumefaciens C58 strain was used for induction of shooty teratoma in Catharanthus roseus using epicotyl and stem node explants. The transformed nature of shooty teratomas was confirmed by nopaline assay.

A randomized, placebo controlled, 3-way crossover design oral pharmacokinetic study was done in healthy human male volunteers and in vitro metabolism studies were done in human liver microsomes to study the effect of CFX and IBF on RGZ metabolism. Each subject received orally either 8 mg of RGZ with a placebo or co-administration with either 500 mg of CFX or 400 mg of IBF.

The simple cleanup involves extraction of phenylmercuric acetate in chloroform and concentration by evaporation. In the extract, the compounds in seeds or water could be separated and identified by paper chromatography in the field or laboratory at microgram levels with an acetone-water (70 + 30) solvent system.
