Laser-induced graphene (LIG) has received great interest as a potential candidate for electronic and sensing applications. In the present study, we report the enhanced performance of a manganese carbonate-decorated LIG (MnCO/LIG) composite electrode material employed for electrochemical glucose detection. Initially, the porous LIG was fabricated by directly lasing poly(ether sulfone) membrane substrate.

Multiwalled carbon nanotube and magnetite nanoparticle (MWCNT-FeO) was dispersed in chitosan (CS) to fabricate a bio-nanocomposite to immobilize very monoclonal specific antibody (via cross-linking using glutaraldehyde) for selective electrochemical immuno-sensing of carbohydrate antigen 19-9 (CA19-9), a potential biomarker for endometriosis diagnostics. Well-characterized Anti-Abs/CS-MWCNT-FeO immune-electrode fabricated on glassy carbon electrode (GCE) successfully detect CA 19-9 and exhibited a high sensitivity as (2.

An innovative and simple synthesis strategy of silicon nanoparticle (Si NP) core covered by mesoporous shell carbon (MSC) structure is demonstrated. The Si core@MSC (SCMSC) composite is developed for addressing the issues for Si anode material in lithium ion batteries (LIBs) such as high volume expansion and low electrical conductivity. Significant improvement in the electrochemical performance for the SCMSC anode is observed compared with bare Si anode.

Several diseases like Alzheimer's disease (AD) demand exploring multi targeted drug candidates, and for the first time we report the multi AD target inhibitory potential of synthesized dihydroactinidiolide (DA). Though the activity of DA in several solvent extracts have been proved to possess free radical scavenging, anti bacterial and anti cancer activities, its neuroprotective efficacy has not been evidenced yet.
View Article and Find Full Text PDFA composite made from hollow polyhedron copper oxide and graphene oxide was synthesized by sintering a Cu-based metal-organic framework (Cu-MOF) embedded with exfoliated graphene oxide. As a proof-of-concept application, the obtained Cu(ox)-rGO materials were used in a lithium-ion battery and a sodium-ion battery as anode materials. Overall, the Cu(ox)-rGO composite delivers excellent electrochemical properties with stable cycling when compared to pure CuO-rGO and Cu-MOF.
