Introduction: Synovial chondromatosis is a rare benign tumor involving the major joints. This condition results from metaplasia of synovium into chondrocytes leading to formation of multiple loose bodies. Extra articular glenohumeral joint synovial chondromatosis involving long head of biceps is very rare.

Electronic and ionic transport governs lithium-ion battery (LIB) operation. The in operando study of electronic transport in lithium-ion transition metal oxide (LMOx) cathodes at different states of charge enables the evaluation of the state of health of LIBs and the optimization of their performance. We report on electronic transport in LIB cathode materials at different states of charge controlled in operando in ion-gated transistor (IGT) configuration.

Purpose: We present a new approach to determine the optimal arc split for VMAT beams which is an extension of our recently published algorithm for selecting optimal beam angles in Intensity Modulated Radiation Therapy (IMRT) MATERIAL AND METHODS: The proposed approach uses an objective function based scoring method called "ψ - score" to determine optimal arc splitting strategy. To validate our approach, we applied it in different clinical cases: Abdomen-Para aortic node, Lung, Pancreas and Prostate. Basically, for all clinical cases, two set of plans were created, namely VMAT plan and VMAT_S plan using Pinnacle (V16.

Objective: In this study, an attempt was made to determine the effect of smoking on ultra-high-frequency auditory sensitivity. The study also attempted to determine the relationship between the nature of smoking and ultra-high-frequency otoacoustic emissions (OAEs) and thresholds.

Materials And Methods: The study sample included 25 smokers and 25 non-smokers.

Metal oxides constitute a class of materials whose properties cover the entire range from insulators to semiconductors to metals. Most metal oxides are abundant and accessible at moderate cost. Metal oxides are widely investigated as channel materials in transistors, including electrolyte-gated transistors, where the charge carrier density can be modulated by orders of magnitude upon application of relatively low electrical bias (2 V).

The characteristics of the gate electrode have significant effects on the behavior of organic electrochemical transistors (OECTs), which are intensively investigated for applications in the booming field of organic bioelectronics. In this work, high specific surface area activated carbon (AC) was used as gate electrode material in OECTs based on the conducting polymer poly(3,4-ethylenedioxythiophene) (PEDOT) doped with poly(styrenesulfonate) (PSS). We found that the high specific capacitance of the AC gate electrodes leads to high drain-source current modulation in OECTs, while their intrinsic quasi-reference characteristics make unnecessary the presence of an additional reference electrode to monitor the OECT channel potential.

Bilateral angle closure glaucoma is a rare ocular emergency which can be a potentially blinding condition. A case of 72 years male, who developed headache and vomiting after five days of demise of his mother followed by blurring of vision. He was taken to the general hospital where all the routine tests and CT Scan head failed to reveal the cause.
