Burden of Infertility, Its Risk Factors, Perceptions and Challenges Faced by Women of Peri-urban Community from Ahmedabad City: Mixed Method Study.

Background: Infertility is globally prevalent and India accounts for 25% of the global burden, but it is still a neglected reproductive health issue. To estimate the prevalence of infertility, its determinants, perception and challenges faced by couples from the peri-urban area of Ahmedabad City.

Materials And Methods: A community-based cross-sectional study was conducted in peri-urban areas of Ahmedabad City.

Characteristics of psychiatric manifestations among hospitalized COVID-19 patients and their correlation with disease severity - a cross sectional study.

Purpose: COVID-19 severity, characteristics of psychiatric symptoms using a brief psychiatric rating scale, and sociodemographic variables were explored and evaluated.

Methods: An exploratory study was conducted during the COVID-19 pandemic, from July 13th to July 26th 2020, in an isolation facility at the COVID-designated Sola hospital in Ahmedabad, India. A total of 201 inpatients diagnosed with COVID-19 by reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) were included in this study.

Persistent cerebellar dysfunction following acute lithium toxicity: A report of two cases.

Neurological disturbances caused by lithium range from simple side effects such as benign tremor to acute reversible neurotoxicity. Rarely, lithium is reported to cause irreversible, permanent neurological sequelae most commonly manifested as cerebellar dysfunction, although other presentations have also been described. We report two cases of persistent cerebellar syndrome following acute lithium toxicity and discuss them in the light of existing literature on the subject.

Severe headache as a presenting complaint in sigmoid sinus thrombosis complicated by functional overlay.

An otherwise serious and potentially fatal organic condition may present with a co-existing strong functional component. We encountered a female patient who presented with bouts of severe headache over the occipital region, associated with blurring of vision. Initially, non-contrast computed tomography (CT) scan (Brain) showed normal study, and she was deemed as having functional symptoms.

Study of attitude of interns toward psychiatry: A survey of a tertiary level hospital in Ahmedabad.

Background: Worldwide, multiple studies demonstrate a negative attitude of interns toward psychiatry. Scenario in Gujarat state has never been looked upon. The objective of this study is to identify the situation in this region by studying the attitude of interns toward various areas of psychiatry and to study the gender differences if any.
