Aim And Objective: The aim of the study was to evaluate and compare radiographically, Pulpotec cement and Biodentine as direct pulp-capping agents in mature teeth, individually and in combination with photo-activated disinfection (PAD).

Material And Methods: In the present study, 80 mature teeth with deep occlusal caries were selected for direct pulp-capping procedure and randomly assigned to one of the four groups [Pulpotec (I), Biodentine (II), Pulpotec + PAD (III), and Biodentine + PAD (IV)] allocating 20 teeth to each group. Direct pulp capping and cavity disinfection were performed based on the group allotted followed by permanent restoration with composite.

A succession of Eu-activated NaY(WO) (NYW) red phosphors were synthesised and their optical properties were studied in detail for white LED, latent fingerprint and plant growth applications. The NYW:Eu red phosphors demonstrated a line-like emission at 616 nm owing to electric dipole transition, and a systematic concentration-dependent PL study revealed that concentration quenching occurs at = 1.

Co-infection of Lactococcus garvieae and Tilapia lake virus (TiLV) in Nile tilapia Oreochromis niloticus cultured in India.

Tilapia lake virus (TiLV) and Lactococcus garvieae are 2 major pathogens of cultured Nile tilapia Oreochromis niloticus. In June-July 2018, a disease outbreak was reported in Nile tilapia cultured in brackish water floating cages in Kerala, India. Affected fish died gradually, and cumulative mortality reached ~75% within 1 mo.

Towards a Stepped Care Model for Managing Fear of Cancer Recurrence or Progression in Cancer Survivors.

Background: Fear of cancer recurrence or progression (FCR) is common amongst cancer survivors and an important minority develop clinically significant levels of FCR. However, it is unclear how current clinical services might best support the growing numbers of cancer survivors.

Purpose: The aim of this study is to develop recommendations for future research in the management of FCR and propose a model of care to help manage FCR in the growing population of cancer survivors.

Reassortment and evolutionary dynamics of tilapia lake virus genomic segments.

The tilapia lake virus (TiLV), a highly infectious negative-sense single-stranded segmented RNA virus, has caused several outbreaks worldwide since its first report from Israel in 2014, and continues to pose a major threat to the global tilapia industry. Despite its economic importance, little is known about the underlying mechanisms in the genomic evolution of this highly infectious viral pathogen. Using phylogenomic approaches to the genome sequences of TiLV isolates from various geographic regions, we report on the pervasive role of reassortment, selection, and mutation in TiLV evolution.

Prevalence of methicillin-resistant in a tertiary hospital in Nepal.

Setting: Patan Hospital, Lalitpur, Nepal.

Objectives: To describe 1) the prevalence of methicillin-resistant (MRSA) and its antibiotic sensitivity pattern; 2) the demographic and clinical characteristics associated with MRSA infections; and 3) the treatment outcomes of in-patients with MRSA infection among patients with infection between January 2018 and December 2020.

It is a retrospective analysis of cases of CAM during the second wave of COVID 19 infection, which was managed in the department of Otorhinolaryngology from Dec 1, 2020, to June 10, 2021.
