Efficacy of Denture Cleansers on Impact Strength of Heat polymerized Acrylic Resins.

Purpose: The study was aimed to compare and evaluate the changes in the impact strength of heat cure denture base resins when treated using denture cleansers.

Methodology: Study was conducted with sample size of 40 and dimesion 65 mm length, 10 mm width, and 3 mm thickness as per the ISO 1567. Distilled water has been used as control group, in which 10 samples were immersed of 40 samples.

Knowledge and Attitude of Dental Surgeons about Ocular Complications Due to Dental Infection.

Background: Ocular complications such as ophthalmia, defective vision, orbital cellulitis, and blindness (temporary or permanent) are rare complications due to dental infection. Currently, there is lack of guidelines in preventing and managing ocular problems. Hence, we assessed the dentist's knowledge and attitudes about ocular complications due to dental infection.

Comparative Evaluation of Tensile Strength in Die Stone Incorporated with Sodium and Calcium Hypochlorite as Disinfectants: An in vitro Study.

Aim: The aim of this study was to evaluate the tensile strength of die stone incorporated with sodium and calcium hypochlorite as disinfectants.

Materials And Methods: Two commercially available type IV die stone (Kalrock: Kalabhai Karson Pvt., Ltd and Pearlstone: Asian Chemicals) and two commercially available disinfectant solutions (sodium hypochlorite and calcium hypochlorite: Beachem Laboratory Chemical Private Limited, Chennai and Leo Chem Private Limited, Bengaluru) were used in this study, and the tensile strength was measured using Lloyd's Universal Testing Machine.

Variations in Flexural Strength of Heat-polymerized Acrylic Resin after the Usage of Denture Cleansers.

Objective: The objective of this study was to evaluate and compare changes in the flexural strength of heat-cured denture base resins when treated using denture cleansers.

Study Design: A total of 40 specimens with dimension 65 mm length, 10 mm width, and 3 mm thickness were prepared as per ISO 1567 specification. A total of 10 specimens were immersed in distilled water to be used as control.

Comparision of Immunohistochemical Expression of CD10 in Odontogenic Cysts.

Background: Expression of CD10 has been documented in various tumors like nasopharyngeal carcinoma, gastric carcinoma, squamous cell carcinoma, odontogenic tumors.

Aim: To evaluate and compare CD10 expression in odontogenic cysts like radicular cyst, dentigerous cyst and odontogenic keratocyst (OKC).

Materials And Methods: Total 60 cases were included in the study, comprising 20 cases each of radicular, dentigerous and odontogenic keratocyst.

Effect of leather industry effluents on soil microbial and protease activity.

Release of leather industry effluents into the agricultural fields causes indicative changes in nutrient cycling and organic matter processing. In the present study, leather industry effluent discharged soil (test) and undischarged soil(control) were collected from the surrounding areas of industry. The physico-chemical, biological properties and soil protease activity were examined.
