Methods: The present study is a secondary analysis of a previously reported multicentric study of 203 individuals with right hemisphere damage (RHD), mainly subacute stroke, 11 weeks postonset on average, and 307 healthy controls. Spatial neglect usually concerns left-sided events after right-hemisphere damage. Its anatomical correlates are debated, with evidence suggesting an important role for fronto-parietal white matter disconnections in the right hemisphere. White matter bundles linking gray matter nodes are key anatomical players to fully characterize associations between brain systems and cognitive functions. Here we used a multivariate lesion inference approach grounded in coalitional game theory (multiperturbation Shapley value analysis, MSA) to infer causal contributions of white matter bundles to visuospatial orienting of attention. Our work is based on the characterization of the lesion patterns of 25 right hemisphere stroke patients and the causal analysis of their impact on three neuropsychological tasks: line bisection, letter cancellation, and bells cancellation.

When a lightly touched surface is moved according to a closed-loop control law, it has been shown in young adults that the centre of pressure (CoP) can be displaced in a controllable way without the conscious cooperation of participants. In this closed-loop paradigm, the surface velocity was continuously adjusted according to the CoP position. Since the closed-loop control of the CoP does not require the participant's voluntary cooperation, it could be of interest for the development of innovative biofeedback devices in balance rehabilitation.
