Biogenic synthesis and characterization of silver nanoparticles (AgNPs) from aqueous extract of Lepidagathis cristata along with their antibacterial and antineoplastic activity to combat breast cancer cells (MCF-7).

Lepidagathis cristata (L. cristata) plant produces reducing and capping agents; this study utilized microwave-assisted biogenic synthesis to manufacture silver nanoparticles (AgNPs) using this plant. The structure, morphology, and crystallinity phases of prepared nanoparticles (NPs) were characterized by ultraviolet-visible spectroscopy (UV-viz), powder X-ray diffraction (XRD), Fourier-transform infrared (FTIR) spectroscopy, and scanning electron microscopy (SEM).
