Spices and herbs are a crucial component of the global food industry, valued for their unique flavors, aromas, and bioactive properties. However, microbial contamination and quality degradation during production, storage, and distribution pose significant challenges. Ultraviolet (UV) and pulsed light (PL) processing have emerged as nonthermal technologies offering effective, eco-friendly solutions for microbial decontamination and quality retention in spices.

Due to its non-invasive and high-resolution characteristics, optical coherence tomography (OCT) has been extensively utilized for the diagnosis of macular diseases. The manual detection of retinal diseases by clinicians is a laborious process, further complicated by the challenging identification of macular diseases.

A dataset of 217 participants with diabetes, prediabetes and normal conditions is used to develop the system. The Mel frequency cepstral coefficients (MFCC) extracted from 5s PPG signal segments and the PhyP are used as input for the machine learning algorithms.

It almost always results in delayed oral intake, prolonged hospital stays, and a delay in initiation of vital adjuvant treatment. A few earlier studies suggested that delayed gastric emptying (DGE) rates were better with the Roux-en Y reconstruction, but Indian literature regarding this is lacking.

Their peripheral blood levels and role in diagnosis and therapeutic monitoring has not been adequately explored. We investigated the association between MMP-1 and TGF-β in moderate and severe persistent asthma and evaluated their performance characteristics by constructing receiver operating characteristic curves.

Impurities can affect the quality and safety of drug products and eventually may affect human health. A robust, sensitive and reliable analytical method is required to detect, characterize, quantify and control the presence of impurities in finished pharmaceutical products such as linagliptin.

Crop improvement to mitigate biotic and abiotic stresses for realization of its potential yield and bridging yield gap is the need of the hour. Availability of limited genomic resources in the cultivated germplasm, however, is a serious bottleneck towards successful molecular breeding for the development of superior genotypes in pigeonpea.

Aim: To study the effect of a supervised integrated exercise programme on HRV in type 2 diabetes mellitus (DM).
Objective: To evaluate the usefulness of fine needle aspiration (FNA) study of lymph nodes in HIV-positive patients.
Study Design: The study was conducted at Kasturba Medical College, Mangalore, India. Samples from lymph nodes of 48 HIV-positive patients were taken and air dried, and wet smears were made.
