All the patients were examined before operation by transabdominal and/or transvaginal ultrasonic probe. A total of 114 endometriotic masses were diagnosed (20 patients had bilateral masses).

After clinical examination and USG doctors suspected PCO syndrome and hydrosalpings that is why the patient underwent an operation. View Article and Find Full Text PDFIn a group of 154 women operated on because of ovarian tumors at the Gynecological-Obstetrics Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs Clinic in Warsaw a comparison of the location and size of the tumor performed by means of transvaginal and transabdominal ultrasonography and the operational evaluation was carried out. In 76.9% of cases the agreement between the location in transabdominal and transvaginal ultrasonography and the operational evaluation was found.
