Motor-evoked potential (MEP) monitoring is an electrophysiologic technique useful for testing peripheral motor nerve integrity during cryoablation cases with risk of nerve injury. Previously, neuromonitoring within the magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) suite for cryoablation has not been performed as magnetic needles are used which could cause magnetic field interactions with neuromonitoring leads. We present the first report of a patient who underwent MEP monitoring during MRI-guided cryoablation of a vascular malformation adjacent to the brachial plexus.

A digital point-of-care solution was implemented to test the feasibility of near-real-time bi-directional communication between pharmacovigilance experts (PVEs) and healthcare professionals (HCPs) for exchanging unique and informative adverse event (AE) information. The solution was implemented in a commercially available electronic health record (EHR) system/platform, no direct contact between PVEs and the HCPs was possible. The Clinical Affairs team of the EHR vendor was used as an intermediary to ensure appropriate information was exchanged while protecting HCP and patient privacy.

Neurons on the left and right sides of the nervous system often show asymmetric properties, but how such differences arise is poorly understood. Genetic screening in zebrafish revealed that loss of function of the transmembrane protein Cachd1 resulted in right-sided habenula neurons adopting left-sided identity. Cachd1 is expressed in neuronal progenitors, functions downstream of asymmetric environmental signals, and influences timing of the normally asymmetric patterns of neurogenesis.

Purpose Of Review: Posterior shoulder instability is an uncommon but important cause of shoulder dysfunction and pain which may occur as the result of seizure, high energy trauma, or repetitive stress related to occupational or sport-specific activities. This current review details the imaging approach to the patient with posterior shoulder instability and describes commonly associated soft tissue and bony pathologies identified by radiographs, CT, and MR imaging.

Recent Findings: Advances in MR imaging technology and techniques allow for more accurate evaluation of bone and soft tissue pathology associated with posterior shoulder instability while sparing patients exposure to radiation.

Strong linear relationships between their C-Os-Os-C dihedral angles and their Os-Os bond distances in diosmium sawhorse complexes Os(u-OCR)(CO)L (L = CO and/or PR) form two trendlines depending upon the presence or absence of terminal phosphines. These trends appear unrelated to the basicity of the bridging ligand or the number of phosphines. The mathematical derivation of the relationship between the O-Os-Os-O dihedral angle and the Os-Os bond distance shows how the other geometric parameters affect this relationship.

Introduction: Spontaneous reporting of adverse events has increased steadily over the past decades, and although this trend has contributed to improving post-marketing surveillance pharmacovigilance activities, the consequent amount of data generated is challenging to manually review during assessment, with each individual report requiring review by pharmacovigilance experts. This highlights a clear need for alternative or complementary methodologies to help prioritise review.
